Yellowfin BI CSV File Loading

Please note Yellowfin support only .CSV format (Do not support for .XLS, XLSX)

There are two methods for importing CSV data to use for report building;
1) Import a new CSV file through the Report Builder process – For temporal & quick file analysis.
2) Import a new CSV file through the View Builder process – Preferred for client deliverable prospective.

Following are the steps for 'Report Builder Process':

Step 1: Create a writable HSQL database.
Create a directory, within your Yellowfin installation directory, to store the HSQL database.
For example: D:\Yellowfin\HSQLdatabase

Step 2: Go to Report creation.



Step 3: Select Load CSV Option.



Step 4: Create CSV Data Source.



Step 5: Load CSV file.



Step 7:In this step you can modify your data set & formatting, adding new field, data conversion, adding calculated fields etc.






Step 8: This way you can set “Drill Down” Hierarchy.



Step 9: Report Creation.
